Team Changes
Ok I haven't updated my blog for a while. So here goes.
Schoolies was mad, our whole team went up to the Coast, for a week full of fun. We thought of it as 'team bonding'. HAHA, jokes. We are now all back and have been practising everyday, bridging MLG mainly. But... we were missing a person. Rick (Outkast), hadn't been online at all since coming back from schoolies. We all thought he was dead.
Turns out he has been extremely sick and playing WoW alot. He is a beast at WoW, and has way more potential at it than Halo. So we talked about it and he has left the team as we both think its the best thing to do. Towards the end he did not enjoy Halo.
Luke also left the team temporarily, as he got a full time job as a cabinet maker. This lasted 3 days and he is back on the team. Haha. So we were missing a 4th. We all considered my brother, but whenever we are on the same team. We argue to much, WAY to much. But we decided to give it a go. There were a few hiccups at the start due to him not listening to callouts etc... but he is learning. Learning fast at that.
The team now consists of:
-Bak2BakBrBusta
-itz Water Rat
-iTZ Fieldy
-B 2the Anger

A Few Scrims.
Over the past week of finishing school, we have been doing some practise scrims. A 4v4 with our full team online, and a 3v3 with Justin missing.
I am not a fan of 3v3's because there is always 1 lone wolve, and it is completely different from a 4v4 strategy wise. They are still good practise regardless. There is no point hardcore scrimming and practising everyday when we will be going away for a week to Queensland on Saturday.
We will just lose that individual skill that we have developed. Our Teamwork on the other hand isn't fully developed, so we need to work on that as much as we can. I know our individual skill is there, its just a matter of working on teamwork so that we can let it shine.
Anyway. Here are the results of the 3v3 last night:
3v3 B2B vs ?
Construct TS - 50 - 39
Narrows TS - 39 - 50
Pit TS - 50 - 49

Construct TS
Our Construct TS gametype is pretty strong. Our 'hold lobby' strategy works. We just peg grenades and blow things up. Its good fun. We have not lost this gametype yet. I did pretty good putting up +6, and Rick and Luke also with a +2.
Narrows TS
Although I went +5 on this I was NOT a team player. Putting up a pitiful 2 assists. Rick with a -1 and 4 assists. Luke with a -15 and 14 assists. We cannot be disappointed with Luke in this one because he had the right intentions. I was playing like it was a 4v4, and Luke would push top mid trying to clean up kills and put shots on people. In a 4v4 situation Luke would have done much better. I was playing as if it was a 4v4, I was hanging back picking off spawners and sniping in my lobby, it is how I like it. Unfortunately it isn't how you play a 3v3 Narrows Slayer. Thats why I hate 3v3. Still I think this Game and Map needs improvement for us.
Pit Team Slayer.
This is one of my best gametypes on a 3v3. 4v4 I have not yet found my groove and where it is I am supposed to go. I like to have Luke and Rick hold dark hall and green box, even if they go negative. I push through sword, get a bunch of kills and try get out alive. It allows me to look good. I went +9 with 4 rape headshots.
Onslaught Flag. (Game 4)
This is one of our worst gametypes. We tried the whole game to setup and slay. We did that with all of us going mass positive. We still lost this though. I am not worried because the running of the flag is easy to work on.

Calendar.
Ok, Justin and Rick said they would like a calendar to be done, I did it. I think it brings some sort of structure to the team, rather than getting on Live and stuffing around. Here are the links:
September 09
December 09
Notes.
- Every Friday, MLG bridging night as a 4, or scrim night. NO MORE YELLOW BAR.
- Team Endeavor LAN - 5th December (not confirmed)
- Serious Gaming - Just gaming as a team.

Exams.
Yeah we haven't been playing as a team for around 2 weeks now. We are all studying - well, pretending. We have had to miss the 'eGames' LAN, which would have been AWESOME!

We also had to miss the GoSolid V.5 LAN! FML.

Oh well, the week exams finishes, we are gaming HARD until schoolies. We will setup a LAN with Team Endeavor. Which at the moment consists of:
-Royal Fan
-Somedude242
-Flynn
-Soxy v2
They destroyed us at the V4 LAN, but we may stand a chance this time. Or at least gain something from the LAN. I cannot wait for exams to finish.

Back to Baysicks vs Hidden Potential
After much trash tale from team 'Hidden Potential' the day finally came to LAN. We could finally see if the trash talk could be backed up, they definitely talked the talk, but could they walk the walk?
Hidden Potential
- Shakur (Liam)
-Kid Cudi (Aaron)
-TooLegitToQuit (Russell)
-SpinDrill (Cam)
A major flaw with the Xbox 360's is that once they are not connected to LIVE, the Xbox clock reverts back to its original release date time. This somehow makes Halo not want to save any games EXEPT the last game played, and its at the bottom of the 'Recently Played' list. Which is absolutely retarded. Us being major idiots did not manually reset the clock so that our games would save. Therefore no gameplay or stats are have been recorded.
I will have to rely on memory recall. There were some really close games, and some not so close games, simply put, they were absolutely raped in a lot of games. All in all, we did not lose a SINGLE game. The day started out serious, I admired them for persisting, but their 'Potential' will remain hidden.
What I learned:
-Justin is a beast, and can slay like crazy.
-I snipe best early in the night, and as I get tired my reaction time slows, and I miss more shots.
-Our BR skill has improved.
-Justin is a beast.
-Construct TS is our best map, and the 'hold lobby' strategy is not pretty, but it defiantly works.
-Our team definately meshes well with the addition of Justin.
-I need to work on BR further along with all of my team mates, Luke and Justin have the strongest BR's by far.
-Rick needs to work on his slaying ability, especially on Narrows.
We gained some valuable confidence from these scrims. Here are some pictures:
-Luke getting ready to game.

-Luke and Rick preparing, sick headband courtesy of Liam.

-Luke and Rick again.

-Yeah...

-Russell's fully sick 17inch Dell gaming monitor, equipped with a 100ms response time.

Back to Baysicks - Halo 3 - Introduction
Team 'Back To Baysicks'.
Current Team Line-Up.
-iTZ Water Rat (Justin)
-iTZ Fieldy (Luke)
-iTZ Outkast (Rick)
-B 2the Anger (Jay)
Although we are a newly formed team, we are improving rapidly. I have always been one to record stats and gameplay and I thought a Blog over a forum would be better suited to doing so.
Our goal is to win a GoSolid LAN. We have set that as our target and think it is a realistic goal. We also aim to continue improving and can hopefully do so.
The aim of this Blog is to monitor our progression and also serve as a place for other teams to look for Local LAN's against us or in general. Stats and gameplay will also be posted for enjoyment.
There may be team change if things aren't working out. I just want 'Back To Baysicks' to win a tournament. 'Jordan513' and 'xTS Keiren' are my backup plan.
Tournament experience:
*GoSolid V.4 4V4 LAN.
- Our first tournament, we were extremely nervous. But we did get in some hard practice together as a team. We did not have our original line-up due to 'WaterRat' not being able to come due to a lecture on the day of the tournament. Our goal was to play as best as we could, and we did. We played better than we normally did, and my sniper was on par. Although we were 3-0'd alot, we did not feel that these teams in the future would be unbeatable for us. I learnt 3 things from this experience (in order of importance):
1) Teamwork absolutely annihilates individual skill. Unless you are Naded.
2) We need a better BR. The other teams BR skill was ridiculous compared to us.
3) It's all about experience, and being able to judge how to react in certain situations.
Here are the final results of the GoSolid V.4 LAN.
